Aboduabo Farmers Association Demonstrate Against Forestry Commission Over Rampant Felling Of Cocoa Trees

Aboduabo Farmers Association and the entire community in the Bibiani Municipal of the Western North region have embarked on demonstration against the Forestry Commission for cutting down of their cocoa farms.

According to Hon. Jessy Newlove who spoke on behalf of the association said, 'this is not the first time our cocoa farms are being cut down.' 

He added that, way back 2011 they took the Forestry Commission and Chief of Aboduabo to court where the court placed an injunction over the cutting of the cocoa trees but here be the case the Forestry Commission have started the felling."

He later added they are for peace and therefore call on Government and Minister of Lands and Natural Resources to come into the matter because they cannot take the law into their hands.
