Sister Tawiah, a newly wedded bride who resides at Amanful, a suburb of the Cape Coast South Constituency in the Central Regional capital goes half-mad after her head pastor, Bishop John Quayson of the Anointing Fire Church is said to have seized all the money the couple raised from their wedding over the ordeal the bride owe the church.
The marriage ceremony which has got lot of people profusely talking came off on Saturday 12th March, 2022 at the Anointing Fire Church premises, located at the Cape Coast-Ashanti Road.
Information reaching Africanewsarenagh.com reveals the bride went for a loan of GH¢1,500ghc from the church for the wedding, of which she was yet to settle, hence the Bishop seizing all the money which came in at the wedding including the appeal for funds done by the MC, church collection and even a Gh¢1,000 by the women's fellowship.
The man of God who according to reports gathered indicates without waiting for the newly wedded couple to do accounts, to know the amount of money to pay to those who rendered them services before,during and after the wedding like the cooks, Master of Ceremony (MC) and those who they went for food stuffs on credit.
Speaking to the family head to the bride Ebusuapanin Mensah, he said;
"Due to the ill treatment the pastor is giving to the bride has propelled her getting to the verge of losing her sanity. It's highly unfair from the pastor, judging from what he's doing"
"Even if the person is owing the church, I think so far as she hasn't quitted attending the church and is still a member of the church for that matter, is fair the money she raised from the wedding be given to her, for her to know the payment stretcher to use in settling the debt."
"Though l don't live close to her, but I'm reliably informed that since Sunday, those she owe due to the arrangements that went into organizing the wedding are all on her neck, trooping in and out of her house, which is making the girl to lose it," Ebusuapanin Mensah chided.
