Following the sudden strike call-off by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) four days ago, ending their five(5) to six(6) weeks strike action, bringing out the need for all University lecturers across the country to resume back to their respective lecture halls, has made lecturers at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) expected to resume class comes Monday, February 28, 2022, as about half of the school's pupil sits off campus from home, africanewarenagh.com can confirm.
The call-off strike, according to the communique released by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of UTAG emphatically indicated the strike called-off is only for two weeks, while the association's head (NEC) continues to engage the government on their condition of service.
The two weeks strike-off is however noted to end on the 9th of March, 2022.
Meanwhile, reports gathered by AfricaNewsArenaGh.Com indicates some of these absentee students returned early to campus as school resumed, but returned home, releasing the strike action by UTAG wasn't ending anytime soon, as those who delayed returning to campus on the university's said date for school reopening decided to remain at the house till the strike action is finally over before their return back to campus.
