NAKY Clothing in Tuobodom in the Techiman North District of the Bono East region held a mass graduation ceremony for apprentices who have been under training for the past three years.

The graduation ceremony was held for a total of 6 apprentices who were trained in freehand cutting, learning/teaching manual, spaceman entrepreneurship, and other vocational skills.

The Chief Executive Officer for NAKY Clothing, Nana Kwaku Yeboah expressed gratitude to the trainees for their dedication to training the youth which could greatly help in reducing unemployment in society.

He said, there is a need for more people to be trained to enhance the use of individual talents to improve self-employment and eradicate social vices among the youth in the municipality.

Nana Kwaku Yeboah urged the public to use made-in Ghana fabrics and reduce the patronage of imported dresses as this would help sustain the sector.

He also called on the government to support the people who intend to enroll in apprenticeship programmes.

"The government provides free accommodation, feeding, and tuition fee, among others to the Basic Schools and that of the Senior High Schools but those into apprenticeship seems to have been left out," he hinted.
