Ghana Football Association Executive Council member and a CAF certified Match Coordinator, Frederick Kofi Acheampong has revealed he had to be on a hideout from colleague CAF workers following his country's (Ghana) woeful display in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The well trusted CAF match coordinator who concurrently works with Ghana-Kumasi based Kessben Media recalled he witness the shameful Black Stars performance ever in the continental showpiece, having almost every colleague CAF worker present at the AFCON ask him what actually is happening to his country (Ghana).
The former Chief Executive Office for Ghana Premier League outfit Ashanti-Gold upon his arrival to the country few days back, analysing the Black Stars overall performance on Kessben FM's 'Midfield Action' today 3 February,2022 highlighted;
"I had to atimes hide myself from friends working for CAF in Cameroon after Black Stars shameful exit to the competition, as l had myself mocked almost everyday," he noted.
"I atimes had to sneak myself out to even buy food, cause I was mocked anytime I'm sighted by these friends."
"Especially this South African friend of my, who will always ask...where is Ghana!!, weren't you awarded a penalty!. Judging from what transpired between Ghana and the Bafabafa of South Africa at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in our recent World Cup qualifier, where the Black Stars won narrowly by a goal to nil, curtesy a Daniel Amartey dubbed dubious penalty by the South Africans few months ago," Acheampong told Kessben FM.
Frederick Acheampong has had the opportunity to Coordinate several CAF suctioned competitions like the CAF Confederations Cup, CAF Champions League and the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
And has recently been appointed by CAF to be the General Coordinator for this year's African Super Cup competition between Egyptian giants Al Alhy and Raja Casablanca of Morocco, slated for Wednesday, December 22 in Qatar at the Al Rayyan Stadium - one of the stadia to host the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
