Football Great Zidane Congratulates Senegal For Winning The AFCON But Comforts Egypt

Football great Zinedine Zidane has congratulated Sadio Mané and his Senegal teammates for winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Teranga Lions defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties to win their first ever AFCON title last Sunday in Yaounde.

The former French international also had a thought for Egypt who lost another final match at the AFCON after the 2017 edition.

“120 intense minutes of football and fair play . Congratulations to Senegal and congratulations to Egypt for their performance, ”wrote the 1998 Ballon d’Or on Instagram.
