The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan who doubles as the Local Chairmperson for Ghana's 65th Independence Day Celebration to be hosted in Cape Coast has revealed the celebration when not yet unveiled turned to be a package of blessing to her region as hotels in and around the central regional capital ahead of the event slated on the 6th March, 2022 has been booked to full capacity.
The Minister made this interesting revelation at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium (the same place to host the 65th Independence Day Celebration) after the National Planning Committee, who are set to see to it that the celebration become a success officially unveiled the event which comes with a lot of scheduled activities before the main event.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the chiefs in the Region, the Central Regional Minister expressed her sincere gratitude to the president for bringing such an important occasion to her Region, adding that President Nana Akufo-Addo is so much concerned about the development of the Central Region, hence bringing the 65th Independence Day celebration to the region to help sell the Region to investors across the globe.
On the economical benefits this event will bring to her region, the Minister said;
"All the hotels in Cape Coast and its environs are currently booked to full capacity with people from both far and near who wants to come and witness the celebration.
My friends at the diaspora who wants to come for the celebration as well, as we speak have been calling me to get a room for them, but I'm finding it extremely difficult to get one for them."
On preparations made so far towards seeing to it, the celebration becomes a success, the Hon. Minister said she sees the future of the celebration to be one that will go down into the good books of the country as one of the most historical events ever held in the history of Ghana.
The highly anticipated event however has the Prime Minister of Barbados as its Special Guest of Honour, together with several reputable dignitaries, both within and outside Ghana.
