Sports Minister Floors Himself Before Parliament

Hon. Mustapha Yussif, Minister of Youth and Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Yussif following the woeful performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing AFCON 2021 competition in Cameroon, appearing before parliament yesterday as to what actually transpired to such national disgrace has authored what many translates to be a 'total flooring of himself.'

The abysmal showdown of the senior national soccer team which has led to the dismissal of head coach Milovan Rajevac and the dissolving of the Black Stars Management Committee has never seized to unfold provocation to the indigenes of Ghana.

As explanations from both the Ghana Football Association(GFA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have been from one provocatory comment to the other.

The GFA prior to the appointment of axed coach, Milovan Rajevac made it known to Ghanaians "Milovan is a tried and tested coach, and not a try and error one," hence is going to Cameroon to end the country's 40year cup drought, and to bring back home the AFCON 2021 Cup.

But to the surprise of many, the team went and putted up arguably their worst campaign ever in the competition, being knocked out from the group stages of the competition without a single win, paired in a group of Morocco,Gabon and debutantes Comoros Island.

The head coach, after his disgraceful campaign in the AFCON boldly came out to tell Ghanaians he was actually using the competition as a preparatery grounds for the World Cup instead. Having no idea the team he will meet in the playoffs, not to even talk of qualifying.

The Sports Ministry together with the GFA came out prior to the Black Stars pitching camp in Doha (Qatar) ahead of the AFCON to explain, the weather conditions in Qatar compared to Cameroon are the same, hence will help the team acclimatise very well with the weather of Cameroon when the competition finally commence.

All these has turned out to be false, as the Sports Minister, Hon. Mustapha Yussif appearing before parliament yesterday had this to say instead:

"The Black Stars prior to the AFCON competition pitching camp in Doha(Qatar) was to help us acclimatise to the weather of Qatar which will host the World Cup, which in the long run will help the country as we have the opportunity of qualifying to the World Cup, as we are currently in the playoffs," he told parliament.
