Some of the residents said "smoke started to appear from the foams and later fire spread throughout in a minute. Seeing the extent of the fire, the driver immediately came out of the car, stopping it at the roadside near Obrumankoma FM."
"It was a lucky escape,’’ the residents and rescue team disclosed.
One member of the rescued team, Kwaku Ansah popularly know by many as 'Kwakus' further advised drivers and the general public to have portable fire extinguisher in the vehicles and homes to avert high extent such incidents.
“A small fire extinguisher cylinder would be helpful in such cases. However, drivers the general public should also learn how to use them. The car cabin is made of materials that can catch fire easily,” said Kwakus.
