The National Imam of Ghana Muslim Youth League, Mohammed Iddriss Atta has made a passionate appeal calling on all Ghanaians to disregard the saying ''Islamic religion is for the Northerners.''

National Imam made this statement at the Ghana Muslim Mission (GMM) 63rd Annual Regional Conference held at Enyan Maim in the Ajumako-Eyan-Esiam District of the Central region.

Some of the dignitaries present were the National Chairman of GMM, Sheikh Dr Amin Bonsu, Nana Osofo Saah IV, the Benkumhen of Enyan Maim Traditional Council, Imam Yusif Alee, Deputy Chairman of GMM, Sheikh Alhaji Mohammed Suleiman Awal, Regional Chief Imam, Mr Mustapha K. Alee, Regional Secretary, Hon. Alhaji Aliu Gambo, the General Manager of Obrumankoma FM, Mallam Mohammed Abdallah Donkoh, among others.

Imam Mohammed Iddriss Atta further advised and encouraged the Muslims and those who are yet to join to hold on to their faith to move Islam forward and received Allah's eternal life.


The Benkumhen of Enyan Maim Traditional Council, Nana Osofo Saah IV also pleaded with Sheikhs, Imams, Mallams and all Muslims at large to preach the gospel of the Islam to the world and get themselves out of violence.
