Group Petitions Regional Director Of Education Over Upgrading And Reposting

A group which call itself 'Concerned Graduate Teachers' of the Central region has petitioned the Regional Director of Education, Mrs Martha Owusu Agyemang over a situation they described as punishment as the authorities have turn a deaf ear to their grievances.

According to the group, they applied for upgrading and reposting to the second cycle institutions but neither the upgrading nor reposting has seen the light of day since 2019.

"Our colleagues who took the same course with us who teach in the basic schools in the other regions have been gotten their upgrading done," they stated.

Read the statement below:

PETITION:

We undersigned graduate teachers who teach at the basic school gained admission to undertake undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Education in Business Management and Bachelor of Education in Accounting at the Cape Coast and Valley View University and successful graduated in 2019.

We applied for upgrading and reposting to the second cycle institution but neither our upgrading nor reposting has seen the light of day. Our colleagues who took the same course with us who teach in the basic schools in the other regions have been gotten their upgrading done.

We are therefore humbly appealing to your high office to intervene in our dilemma so that we received the necessary upgrading and reposting to the second cycle institution.

Attached here are our necessary documents for your study.

We are counting on your intervention which will give us the necessary job satisfaction.
