THIEF CHAINED TO ELECTRIC POLE, STRIPPED NAKED AND BEATEN TO PULP IN ELMINA

A young man believed to be in his 20s has been chained to an electric pole, stripped naked and beaten to a pulp by some residents of Elmina for being caught stealing goat in the area.

The young man, whose name was given as 'Dabi Na Mɛka M'asɛm', is believed to hail from Komenda Kissi but resides in Elmina.

Information gathered revealed that, the suspected thief, had planned to steal goats which were grazing in a nearby bush. But on his way to where the goats are, he saw a parked taxi and decided to take the money and mobile phone in it before he steals the goats.

Luck, however, ran out for him as he was spotted by a taxi driver who with the help of others gave him a hot chase and caught him.

He was then given a beatings of his life and chained to an electric pole.

Speaking in an interview, the taxi driver who chased the thief and caught him revealed the insight of the story.

Meanwhile, the suspected thief said, he was sent by one Uncle Awudu a beer bar operator in the community for such operation.

The suspect is now in Elmina Police Station for further investigations.
