PRESS RELEASE: ASHANTI CHAPTER OF NPPYO HAS HEAPED PRAISES ON THE MINISTER OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE

The Ashanti Regional Executives of New Patriotic Party Youth Organization(NPPYO) says Nana Akuffo Addo and his hardworking Ministers Hon.Dr Owusu Afryie Akoto and his Deputy have shown Ghanaians how important Agric is to the government and by doing so they have taken Agric sector to heights which has never been achieved in the history of Ghana.

According to the executives Akuffo Addo administration has initiated many policies to the benefit of Ghana Agric sector.NPPYO Ashanti Regional Executives added that even the previous government led by John Dramani Mahama and his lazy Agric Ministers couldn't achieved what Akuffo Addo, Dr Owusu Afryie and his Deputy have achieved in Agric Sector.What NPP government have achieved in Agric Sector is "unprecedented"in the annals of the history of Ghana and Akuffo Addo and his hardworking Ministers needs to be rewarded for such a marvellous work.They cited planting for food and jobs which have help reduce unemployment rate in Ghana and also food security in the nation.all Ghanaians around the country are benefiting from it because there is abundant of quality food in the system.

NPPYO Ashanti Regional Executives also added that Government have also established one village one dam to improve drainage and reduce post harvest lost of crops which can lead to famine in the country.Again government have greenhouses training centers to improve yields all year round in the nation.and helps train extension officers with new innovations.

Input Subsidy support has been introduced to support poultry farmers to produce broilers which have helped to reduce high import rate of poultry birds to the country by Akuffo Addo government. To Add more government have constructed warehouses to store our Agric products at the end of production for future use,and also the creation of Tree Crop Development to help improve upon our tree crops which over 1.3 million tree crops farmers have benefited in the nation .and when it comes to Agric infrastructure government have improved and build new mechanization centers to help acquire skills and knowledge on mechanized way of farming.under the previous government led by John Dramani Mahama and his propagandist Agric Ministers government have improved upon their ratio of Agric extension officers which was 1:1900 to 1:709 farmers by improving the total numbers of extention workers in Ghana from 1560 to 4286.

And now the cocoa farmers pention scheme which just started this year and almost 1million cocoa farmers are on it and will benefit it when they are old and can't farm.

On the basis of the performances of leadership by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo and his hardworking Ministers Hon.Dr Owusu Afryie Akoto and his Deputy has resulted in much better than the previous government led by John Dramani Mahama and his propagandist Agric Ministers.and going forward we can trust and rely on NPP government in the next four years.Ayekoo Nana and Dr Owusu Akoto Afryie !!!!
