Municipal Director Of Education Office Turns A Dead Trap

Ghana National Association Of Teachers (GNAT), Mfantseman Municipality Secretariat 6th Quadrennial (53rd) Delegates Conference Held Today at Manna Heights Hotel.

The Chairman of the Delegates Conference, Nana Ato Etua Akyirifi (V) who double as Municipality Chairman of GNAT in his 8years tenure of office expressed worry over upgrading, accommodation of teachers in rural areas, the new curriculum and its matters arising as teachers lacks training when lamenting on the theme.

Nana Akyirifi (V) therefore calls on the President, Nana Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Educational Service (GES) to lay down better measures in order not collapse the future.

Mr Isaac Egya Owusu, Central Regional GNAT Chairman also disclosed that, 'the Municipal Director of Education's office is now a dead trap', teachers pension fee is also a very big problem and it is not encouraging at all.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mfantseman Municipality, Hon Kenneth Kelly Essuman together with the Member of Parliament, Hon Ophelia Mensah Hayford supported the programme with an amount of GH₵1000.00 and 10 boxes of Adonko hand sanitizers as part of his social responsibility in order to curb the viral Coronavirus.
